-Cocktail 98 Introduction-


Cocktail 98 is an exciting new multimedia authoring tool that lets you 
incorporate sound, photos, music, animations, text, and video into 
corporate presentations or personal greetings. You can create business 
presentations or customize photo albums containing voices, animation and 
music for your personal enjoyment.

are all available today in Cocktail 98!

experience with any program, completely dismissing the idea of its 
authoring tool for professionals.

friendly that by simply referring to the manual and Help the beginners can 
create the wonderful world of multimedia files they want, using the image, 
sound and animation files built into the Cocktail '98 CD-ROM. Soon they 
will find themselves having fun making cool images to adorn their e-mail

can create a sophisticated CD-ROM title they never believed they could.

Cocktail '98 was conceived with the idea of 'Making all files under 
Cocktail '98'.It consists of 'Multimedia Studio' which can edit and run 
multimedia files and 6 subsidiary programs which create image, sound, 
text, and database files without any extra program.

-Multimedia Studio

By incorporating the various merits of many authoring tools (operating 
systems) in the market, Multimedia Studio provides innovative user 
interfaces for general users with extended convenience. 

If you click on an empty space of the screen when you start, the 
Numbering Wizard shows up. In this Wizard, there are 8 different icons 
according to the file format supported in Cocktail '98. Select the file type 
you want and assign a corresponding file to it. In this way, if you assign 
other files it will automatically show its running place and order.

You can see this multimedia file by clicking the Run button in any desired 
number file and change the size or position of its text and image. 
Furthermore, you can change the running order or correct the source file 
by clicking any other function icon.

-Multimedia Player

Multimedia player is charged with displaying almost all files shown in the 
market. That is, it can quickly display about 60 different files including 
text, image, sound and even animation files while independently operating 
the Cocktail file (mmp file).

-Hypertext

The hypertext file is required if you want to create a more sophisticated 
multimedia file available in the CD-ROM title. Hypertext enables you to 
combine or link each different source file and display it.

-Artist Workshop

This program processes various kinds of background images. It supports 
more than 30 kinds of image files and 100 different kinds of image 
effects, screen shots and scanning. Especially, it can handle high 
compression of images. For example, it provides 37,271 bytes of JPG file
compressing 1,372,854 bytes of BMP file.

-Database Workshop

This program enables database processing in Cocktail '98. It supports 
about 20 different kinds of database files (Access MDB, dBASE DBF, 
Btrieve DDF, Excel XLS, FoxPro DBF, Paradox PDX, etc.) and can easily 
add or delete data. Moreover, it provides a powerful data-searching tool 
using SQL.

-Musician Workshop

This program handles music, sound, and sound effects in Cocktail '98, 
allowing you to record and play voice and Music CDs. It supports file 
formats such as MID, RMI, WAV and AVI.

-Word Workshop

This program is responsible for handling text in Cocktail '98. It supports 
standard word files such as RTF, TXT, HTM, etc., and with other attached 
functions it can make work easily with a document. In addition to the 
general word processing functions such as editing and sentence ordination, 
it can change background color while editing a document.
